About
I didn’t find the answer in a textbook.
Hi, I’m Nasteho Osman. Most people call me Naz. I’m a Certified GAPS Coach and the founder of Nourishing Heritage, and I completed two years of Biomedical Science before moving into health coaching.
For over twelve years I searched for answers to my own health. I lived with digestive issues, recurring infections, chronic fatigue, brain fog, hormonal imbalances, hair loss, severe period pain, an ovarian cyst, and eventually a minor stroke. Underneath it all was a cycle of chronic stress and overthinking that wore on both my body and my mind.
My Biomedical Science studies taught me a great deal about disease and managing symptoms. But I kept meeting the same wall: very little attention was paid to why the body had become unwell in the first place. I wanted to know whether there was a way to support the body’s own ability to recover.
Everything changed when I found the work of Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride and the GAPS Nutritional Protocol. It was the first approach I’d seen that focused on what drives chronic symptoms, rather than only quieting them.
As I applied it to my own life, the change was real: my digestion, energy, mental clarity, resilience and overall wellbeing all improved. That is what led me to train as a Certified GAPS Coach, so I could help others explore the same path.
Today I help people support their gut health through real food, lifestyle changes and personalised coaching. I don’t diagnose, treat or cure. My work is about helping you build strong foundations for health, and understand what is shaping how you feel.
